Frequent Ask Questions
Which South Butte cities does Local Driving School serve?
We pick up in Oroville, Palermo, Gridley, and Biggs.
Is there a Local Driving School office in Oroville?
No. Book through the Chico office at (530) 588-0984 and request Oroville, Palermo, Gridley, or Biggs pickup.
Will my teen practice on Oroville and Gridley roads?
Yes. Pickup lessons use local South Butte streets, not only downtown Chico.
Do Gridley and Biggs teens still need 6 professional hours?
Yes. California requires 6 hours with a DMV-licensed instructor in South Butte as well. Silver meets that minimum.
Can an adult in Palermo book a short refresher?
Yes. Adults can book a 2-hour lesson for local-road confidence. Teen permit rules do not apply.
Can you provide the car for a South Butte road test?
Yes. Gold and Platinum include test-day prep and the training car. Tell the Chico office which DMV has your appointment.
Are Oroville lessons 1-on-1?
Yes. Every behind-the-wheel lesson is private with a DMV-licensed instructor.
How do I book driving lessons in Oroville or Gridley?
Call (530) 588-0984 and ask for South Butte pickup.
